Okay, so, I saw this OMEGA X-33 Marstimer watch in the official flagship store today and I was like, “Whoa, this thing is cool!” I mean, it’s not every day you see a watch that can tell time on both Earth and Mars, right? So, I decided to check it out.

First off, this watch is made of titanium. Not just any titanium, but grade 2 titanium for the case, It felt super light on my wrist, which is awesome. The design is pretty slick, too. I saw it had this red, hematite color around the outer dial. The salesperson said that it’s inspired by the dust on Mars. How cool is that?

I started playing around with the functions. This watch has a digital display, and get this, it can actually track time on Mars! I mean, how crazy is that? There’s also a solar compass, which I thought was a nice touch. I don’t know when I’d use it, but hey, it’s there if I ever need to find my way on Mars or something.

The salesperson also mentioned that OMEGA worked with the European Space Agency (ESA) to make this watch. So, it’s not just some random design, it’s actually got some real space cred. That got me even more excited. Also, I noticed that the watch has a titanium bracelet, using both grade 2 and grade 5 titanium.

I wore the watch for a bit, walking around the store. It was really comfortable. It comes with a titanium bracelet and is pretty light, which I liked. I could see myself wearing this every day, to be honest.

Here’s the catch, though:

• The price. This thing costs $6,400. Yeah, you heard that right. It’s definitely a luxury item. I mean, I love it, but that’s a lot of money.

So, after much internal debate, I decided not to buy it. For now, at least. But, I’m definitely keeping it on my radar. Maybe one day, when I have a spare $6,400 lying around, I’ll treat myself. Or maybe I’ll just keep dreaming about it. Either way, it was a fun experience checking out this futuristic timepiece. The OMEGA X-33 Marstimer is definitely a conversation starter, and if you’re into space or just really cool watches, you should check it out, too. Just be prepared for the price tag!
