This here watch, they call it Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar, fancy name, huh? Sounds like somethin’ them rich folks wear. This one, it’s a copy, not the real deal. But it looks just like it, I tell ya. Shiny and all.
Shiny Thing, This Watch
This watch, it ain’t too big, ain’t too small. They say it’s 39mm wide. Don’t know what that means, but it fits just right on my wrist. And it ain’t too thick neither, 9.4mm they say. Fits under my old sweater sleeve just fine. And from one end of them strappy things to the other, it’s 45.7mm. The strap things, they call ’em “lugs.” Learned a new word today!
They got this thing inside, a “Cal. 476” or somethin’. Some call it “12A.” It’s what makes the watch tick, I reckon. They say it’s “automatic.” Means you don’t gotta wind it up like them old clocks. Just wear it and it keeps goin’. They started makin’ these back in 1946, I hear. Long time ago. Before my time, even!

Calendar Thing on Your Wrist
This here watch, it ain’t just for tellin’ time. It’s got this calendar thing on it too. Shows ya the day, the date, the month, even that moon thing. Don’t know why I need to know what the moon’s doin’, but it’s there. And it’s all fancy lookin’, with them little hands pointin’ at all them little numbers. Easy to see, even for these old eyes.
They call it a “perpetual calendar.” Means it keeps track of all them days and months, even them leap years. Don’t gotta change nothin’. Just keeps on goin’. This copy watch here, it’s got this button thing. They call it one-push something. You press it, and the date and all that changes. Pretty neat, huh?
This One or That One?
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout another watch, an IWC somethin’. They say it can go for 7 days without stoppin’. This Jaeger-LeCoultre copy, I don’t know how long it goes, but it keeps tickin’ as long as I wear it. Good enough for me.
Then there’s this other one, Master Ultra Thin Moon. Sounds pretty, don’t it? They say it’s a classic. Got this little picture of the moon on it. And somethin’ called “sub seconds.” Don’t know what that is, but it sounds fancy.
Steel and All That
This Jaeger-LeCoultre copy I got, it’s made of steel. Good and strong. Not that flimsy stuff. It’s got a dark color to it. Kinda purplish. Looks good on my wrist, I think. This copy is good for everyday, but I wouldn’t take a bath with it. They say it can take some water but I ain’t takin’ any chances.
This Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar, it’s a good watch, this copy. Tells the time, tells the date, tells ya all sorts of things. It looks good, too. All shiny and fancy. People, they ask me where I got it. I just smile. This copy is so good, they think it’s the real Jaeger-LeCoultre. Good price, too. Didn’t cost me an arm and a leg like them real ones.

All Them Fancy Words
They use all these fancy words for these watches. “Perpetual calendar,” “automatic movement,” “stainless steel.” Sounds like a whole different language. But I’m learnin’. This old dog can learn new tricks, ya know. Just don’t use these fancy words too much on me, because I might forget.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar copy, it’s a good watch. I like it. It’s pretty, it’s useful, and it didn’t cost me a fortune. What more could an old lady ask for? Maybe a cup of tea and a good piece of pie. But this watch, it’s a good start. If you see one, get it. You won’t be sorry. And that’s all I got to say about that.
