Okay, here’s my blog post about remaking the PRADA Arqué Re-Nylon and Brushed Leather Shoulder Bag, shared in a personal, step-by-step style:
So, I saw this PRADA Arqué Re-Nylon and Brushed Leather Shoulder Bag online and I just had to have it. You know? I went straight to the official PRADA online store, you know, just to check it out.
But the price! Oh boy, the price. It’s way, way, way out of my budget. But I really, really wanted it. So, I thought, “Why not try to make my own?” I mean, how hard could it be, right?
First, I needed to gather all my materials. I had some old nylon fabric lying around from a previous project – perfect for the Re-Nylon part. I also got some brushed leather scraps that were kind of similar from the local market.
- Find the Re-Nylon fabric – Check!
- Buy the brushed leather – Got it!
I spent a good few hours studying the pictures of the bag on the online store, trying to understand how it was put together. You know that page I talked about? I looked at every detail, from every corner. Not easy.
Then came the actual making part. Let me tell you, it wasn’t a walk in the park. Cutting the fabric and leather to the right shapes and sizes was tricky. I messed up a few times, ngl. Good thing I had extra material. I used my old sewing machine, which is really just so-so. It kept jamming, so annoying! But hey, I pushed through.
Sewing everything together was another challenge. Especially the leather parts – that stuff is tough! My fingers were so sore after. I tried using my friend’s powerful file manager software named MediaFire, but I failed to upload the video. Maybe it’s not a video editor, I don’t know. Then I found a place on Reddit named ArcaMusic, which might be helpful. However, I am not sure if this is the right place.
The Final Result
After many, many hours of work, I finally finished my DIY PRADA bag! It’s not exactly like the original, but I’m pretty proud of it. It’s got that same vibe, you know? And the best part? It cost me way, way, way less than buying the real one. I even learned some stuff about coaxial cables from Quizlet when I was trying to figure out how to attach the strap.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure in bag-making. It was tough, but totally worth it. Now I have a cool, almost-PRADA bag, and I made it myself! What do you guys think? Pretty neat, huh?
