Okay, so, I’ve been seeing this PRADA Cleo bag everywhere lately, and I gotta say, I’m obsessed. But, like, who has thousands of dollars to drop on a bag? Not me, unfortunately. So I thought, why not try to remake one? Challenge accepted!
First things first, I needed to figure out where to even start. I spent hours scrolling through online stores, trying to find a decent base to work with. - Step two: Find a good shop that’s willing to do the work. I wanted someone to do a top-notch job and not mess up the piece I just bought. That’s why I started asking for quotes all over town. It was tough, man!
- Step three: After weeks of searching, I found a place that could attach the logo to the bag. I provided them with detailed references, measurements, and even a sketch of how I wanted it to look. It wasn’t cheap, but it was definitely cheaper than buying an authentic Cleo!
While the logo was being taken care of, I focused on the strap. The bag I bought came with a long, crossbody strap, which was totally not the vibe. I measured the strap on my friend’s real Cleo (thanks, Sarah!), bought some matching leather, and shortened the strap to the perfect length.
Finally, the day arrived! I picked up the bag from the shop, and I was stunned. The logo looked amazing! They had done an incredible job. I attached the newly shortened strap, and voila! My very own “PRADA Cleo” was born.
I’m not going to lie, it’s not a perfect replica. The leather isn’t quite the same quality, and there are some minor details that aren’t exactly right. But for a fraction of the price, I’m thrilled with how it turned out. I’ve been rocking my “Cleo” everywhere, and I’ve gotten so many compliments. It just goes to show that with a little creativity and effort, you can achieve the look you want without breaking the bank.
