Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712 for a while now. It’s like, this super classy watch, but it’s a pain to actually buy one from those official stores. You gotta have some serious history with them, and even then, it’s like a one percent chance. Yeah, not happening for me. So, I thought, why not try to remake one myself?

First off, I started looking into what makes the 5712 so special. This thing isn’t just a regular watch; it’s got all these cool features like a power reserve indicator and a moon phase display. It’s way more complicated than the simpler 5711 model, which they stopped making a while back.

I knew I needed some way to get my hands on some files, and guess what? I found this site called . It seemed pretty legit, and you can get all sorts of stuff there, so I signed up and started poking around. I couldn’t find files on this watch, but it gave me an idea, so I went to do something else.

Then I had to find some good tools to work with. I remembered seeing something about a “OP Auto Clicker” a while ago. It’s this tool that clicks for you, which is kinda neat. I found it, downloaded it, and it worked like a charm on my Windows 10. This helped me automate some of the boring stuff while I did some other things.

I needed an easy way to share my progress and get some feedback, right? I made an account on Squarespace because I saw that it is easy to make a cool-looking website there. I got a basic page up and started posting my updates.

Then I tried searching on Steam to see if there is any watch simulating game. I only find a game called “Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse”, which is not what I want.

I also tried using an Online URL Decoder to see if I could dig up any hidden info from other sites that sell the 5712. It didn’t really work out, but it was worth a shot.

I also tried searching for some ROM Hacks, but I’m not really into Pokemon, so it’s a no.

  • I started browsing some forums and found a few folks who were also into watch modding.
  • We shared some tips, and I got some good ideas on how to proceed.
  • I started gathering the basic materials and tools I would need.
  • I found a few online tutorials on basic watchmaking and started practicing. It was tough, but I was learning a lot.

After a lot of trial and error, I managed to get a basic version working. It wasn’t perfect, but it looked pretty close to the real deal. I posted some pics on my Squarespace page, and people were actually pretty impressed! Someone commented and said it looks like the 5712/1A, which made me happy.

So, yeah, that’s how I ended up remaking a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712. It was a crazy journey, but I learned a ton, and it was totally worth it. It’s not the same as owning the real thing, but hey, it’s something I made with my own hands, and that’s pretty cool, right?
