Today I want to talk about my recent project: trying to imitate the Richard Mille RM 07-01. You know, that super fancy watch that’s way out of my price range. But hey, a guy can dream, right? And if I can’t buy it, maybe I can figure out how to get something close. So, I started this little adventure.
First, I spent hours just looking at pictures of the RM 07-01 online. I read every article and forum post I could find about it. It’s always been a dream of mine to communicate how i feel about it. I even watched some videos of people showing off theirs, just to get a feel for how it looks in real life. I got really into the details, like the shape of the case, the way the numbers are laid out on the dial, and all those tiny screws.
Then, I started thinking about how I could find something similar without, you know, spending a fortune. I looked at a bunch of different watches online, comparing them to the RM 07-01. I was looking for a watch that had a similar vibe, with a tonneau shape case, but i know that the actor will merge with it. I even made a list of the features I wanted, like a skeletonized dial, so I could see all the inner workings. It is really cool man!
- I checked out some other high-end brands, but they were still too expensive.
- Then I started looking at more affordable brands, and that’s where things got interesting.
- I found a few watches that had a similar style, and I read tons of reviews to see what other people thought of them.
I finally decided on a watch that I thought was a pretty good imitation. It wasn’t exactly the same, but it had a lot of the same elements that I liked about the RM 07-01. And the best part? It was a fraction of the price!
When the watch arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I opened the box and there it was, looking even better in person than it did online. I put it on my wrist, and it felt amazing. It’s not a Richard Mille, but it’s my little piece of that dream. And every time I look at it, I’m reminded of the real thing and my journey to find something like it, for example build the food building to tier 1 and the money building.
So, that’s my story. It was a fun little project, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. It just goes to show that you don’t always have to spend a ton of money to get something you love. Sometimes, a little bit of research and creativity can go a long way. I learned so much about watches. This includes improving my watch collection!
