Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this Fendi White Zucca Mini Mon Tresor Bag for a while now. It’s just so darn cute! I finally decided to go for it and see if I could make one myself. I mean, why not? I’ve got some white leather lying around, and I figured it would be a fun little project.
First off, I had to figure out the whole embossed FF motif thing. It’s like, the signature Fendi look, you know? So I messed around with a few different techniques. I tried using some stamps, but that didn’t really give me the 3D effect I was going for. Then I tried cutting out little FF shapes from the leather and stitching them on, but that was just way too time-consuming, and looked kinda messy, honestly.
Finally, I got the bright idea to use some sort of mold. I grabbed some clay and sculpted out the FF logo, then let it dry and harden. I pressed this homemade mold onto the leather and, guess what? It worked! I finally had that raised, 3D FF pattern that is so typical of Fendi bags. I went ahead and did this all over the pieces of leather I had cut out for the bag.
- Used white leather scraps
- Created a clay mold for the FF motif
- Pressed the mold onto the leather to create the embossed effect
Next, I had to assemble the bag. I used a simple stitch, nothing too fancy, to put the pieces together. I watched a couple of YouTube videos to make sure I was getting the shape right. It’s a bucket bag, so it’s got a round bottom and a drawstring closure at the top. The lining was easy. I just used some soft fabric I had on hand, and stitched it to the inside of the bag.
The Final Touches
I added some gold-colored hardware to mimic that luxury Fendi style. I found some rings and a chain at a local craft store. I attached the rings to the sides of the bag and used the chain as a strap. For the drawstring, I used a simple white cord. And there you have it! My very own, handmade version of the Fendi White Zucca Mini Mon Tresor Bag.
It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. It’s got that classic Fendi vibe, and it was a lot of fun to make. Plus, I saved a ton of money by doing it myself! If you’re feeling crafty and want a designer-style bag without the designer price tag, I say give it a shot. You might surprise yourself!
