Alright, folks, gather ’round, let me tell you about my latest adventure. Today, I got my hands on an OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing. You know, the original order kind. Now, I’ve been eyeballing this piece for a while, and the opportunity finally popped up. So, I jumped on it.
First thing I did was to give it a good once-over. I mean, you gotta make sure it’s the real deal, right? There are a lot of fakes out there. I started by checking if all the chronograph functions were working correctly. You know, pressing those pushers, seeing if the hands move like they’re supposed to. They all worked!
Then, I took a closer look at the details. The dial, the hands, the case, everything. I’ve heard that with these Speedmasters, the fakes are pretty easy to spot if you know what you’re looking for. This one passed that test with flying colors. I also checked out the movement. I’ve heard there’s usually an eight-digit serial number in there, and sure enough, it was there. I also found the reference number inside the case back. It was all matching up.

Getting Down to the Nitty-Gritty

Gives you that connection to the watch, you know? And the Hesalite crystal is a classic touch. It is the closest to the original model. I really like this design.
I spent the rest of the day just wearing it around, getting a feel for it. It’s a solid piece, feels substantial but not too heavy. I wore it the whole day, I could hardly take it off.
