Next up, assembly. This was the real test. I bought a cheap set of watchmaking tools, watched a bunch of videos online, and just went for it. Let me tell you, it was fiddly as hell. Those little screws are tiny, and trying to get the hands on straight without scratching anything was a nightmare. I swear I almost threw the whole thing across the room a couple of times.
But, I persevered. I took it slow, double-checked everything, and eventually, I had something that resembled a Rolex Sea-Dweller. It wasn’t perfect, mind you. The bezel action wasn’t as smooth as the real thing, and the weight was probably a bit off. But, from a distance, it looked pretty darn close.
